Good morning!

Another great week for ERTC, with amazing weather throughout the week! We had strong representation at the Velocity Stage this weekend, along with a staggering 13 ladies from our club and others joining us for our 2nd Annual “Broads on Bikes with Bison” Women’s Ride! 8 ladies went the full distance of 100km, with the remainder opting for the 50km route, and the winner of the jersey and shorts that Revolution Cycle donated to us was Erin Slemp, a rider joining us for this ride from another club. As for the Velocity Stage Race, a more detailed race report will be forthcoming, but I’d like to congratulate Brandon Langille on upgrading to Category 4, as well as Jakob Claffey and Spencer King on upgrading to Category 3.

New things for this week:

Tuesday Intervals will continue to take place at the Edmonton Research Park – We are running it backwards this week for preparation for the upcoming Criterium in a couple of weeks – As usual, meet at Wild Earth at 6PM.

Wednesday for this week still does not have a leader - our regular Wednesday ride leader is busy this week. Any current member can step up and lead this ride. Message me for details.

Weekend Rides –  This weekend is a long weekend – this usually means the ride structure may change. Use Facebook for the most up to the date information however the regularly scheduled weekend rides will always be a go. We are currently looking to organize a Highwood Pass daytrip, as well as a bonus ride out to next week’s race course on Monday. Message me for details, or just look at Facebook.

And finally we have a new photo policy for posting to Facebook. We try to keep our Facebook page lively and easy to access for updates and discussion. We would like large photo albums to be hosted on the website instead of on Facebook. We don’t have a hard line to what constitutes a large album, but generally those coming out of events – Such as Broads on Bikes or Velocity Stage Race we would like to see on the site. You are free to link selected pictures on to Facebook of course.  What this means to you is that if you take any photos from larger events, I’d like you to email them right to me(president@ertc.org). They’ll get put up on the website within a day or 2 if not same day. If you’re posting lots to the Facebook group, we will message you and ask you to e-mail them to me instead, so don’t worry, your photos will get seen! Random photos and one-offs are still allowed of course – we’d just like big albums all in one place so people can look them up.
