President - Albert Nguyen (he/him), Elected for 2 years in 2022. (Elected on Even Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Make financial decisions and provide financial direction for the club

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide mentorship and guidance
•    Advocate for the club at cycling and interclub events (including races and ABA events)
•    Mediate any club social issues and concerns
•    Provide support to club executive
•    If any Executive member is unable to meet their responsibilities you may need to delegate or complete those accountabilities yourself

Vice President - Scott Klarenbach (he/him), Elected for 2 years in 2021. (Elected on Odd Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Act as President with full authority when the President is not available
•    Work with the President in all club matters, with the ultimate authority residing with the President

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide mentorship and guidance
•    Advocate for the club at cycling and interclub events (including races and ABA events)
•    Mediate any club social issues and concerns should the President not be available
•    Provide support to the Executive
•    Assist the President in filling in for any Executive member who are unable to meet their position requirements

Treasurer - Mike Christ (he/him), Elected for 2 years in 2022. (Elected on Even Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Document all monetary transactions
•    Provide periodic reports on financial position of the club
•    Facilitate all monetary transactions (e.g. banking, deposits, cheques)

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide input as part of the club Executive to the general workings of the club

Women’s Cycling Manager / Communications - Heather Curtis (she/her), Elected for 2 years in 2023. (Elected on Odd Years)

Main WoERTC Accountability:
•    Further the involvement of women in cycling. This could be accomplished by:
- Organizing a women’s only weekly club ride
- Organize female support on all general club rides
- Market the Women of ERTC group within the club and externally
- Organize any club supported interclub women’s specific rides/events
- Organize women’s skill-building rides
- Promote any other action which furthers interest and involvement in the great sport of cycling

Communications Accountability:

•    Organize and write any intra/inter club communications
•    Manage ERTC social media accounts and write all communication to external parties (e.g., potential sponsors)
•    Ensure that the club’s brand is represented in all communication by maintaining consistency and professionalism

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide input as part of the Executive to the general workings of the club

Accountabilities of all Club Executive Members:
•    Attend all Executive meetings
•    Ensure appropriate communication regarding your area of responsibility to the President and Executive as appropriate
•    All terms will be for 2 years (unless otherwise approved by the club)


Race Committee - Greg Nicholson (he/him) (Non-Executive Position)

Main Accountability:

  • Requires an ABA Organizer license which we will assist you in obtaining if you do not have one

  • Lead the organization of volunteers to assist you in the race organization.

  • You may wish to select individuals to organize specific races while you act in more of a consult/over-sight role
    Regardless of how each race is organized, ultimate accountability for the event’s success lies with this position

  • Work with the ABA to satisfy all requirements of a host team

  • Work with the club Executive to develop a club race hosting strategy. Evaluate our current races and propose new ideas or changes to our current races.

Event Coordinator - James Gray (he/him) (Non-Executive Position)

Main Accountability:
•    Organize social events including setting event dates, finding venues, catering, and managing budgets
•    Organizing required volunteers for non-race events (bike shows, casinos, social events, etc.)

Clothing Coordinator - Michael Haydo (he/him) (Non-Executive Position)

Main Accountability:
•    Maintain stock of limited clothing items for the club
•    Liaise with clothing providers and members to ensure that orders arrive predictably

•    Provide members with adequate information to enable buying decisions
