REGISTER HERE FOR 2024

This program is designed to take you from a person interested in racing, to starting your very first race. You cannot have held an ABA Race License and started a race. (Don't know what that is? You qualify!) and be a current member of ERTC in good standing in order to qualify. You may only enroll one time. Ever.

As part of this program, all registered members will receive upon registration:

  • Free entry to ALL Edmonton-area unsanctioned races, such as the Spring Series Road Races, Fat Tire Tuesdays, Midweek Road Races, and the Wednesday Night Cyclocross fall race series. This offer does NOT include the DV100, the Tour d'La Alberta, or any other "Fondo" type events.

  • Free access to a series of in-class lectures and seminars providing instruction in everything from safety, easy-to-do bike repairs, and how to prepare for races, led by an NCCP coach. These instructions sessions run in March and April. You may attend these as often as you like, with or without registration, for as long as we hold them.

  • Free access to a series of on-bike skills development sessions led by an NCCP coach, These sessions cover a variety of skills needed in road riding and racing, starting at the absolute basics of bike handling (think Hopping a curb 101 as the starting point and you get the picture). These sessions are well attended by many club members, from beginners to seasoned racers, and take place in April and May. You may attend these sessions as often as you like, with or without registration, for as long as we hold them.

Upon registering for your Race License from the ABA you will receive:

  • One "Welcome to Racing" Package consisting of a water bottle, a number plate holder, and a season's supply of safety pins. (You'll learn what these are for as part of your seminars.)

  • The option to attend the ABA "Learn to Race" Workshops for free (you'll earn upgrade points by completing this workshop. An ABA race license is required to register for this.)

  • Free entry to ALL ABA Sanctioned Races hosted by ERTC (For 2023: Pigeon Lake Road Race, School of Cross CX Race, and The Croken Classic Gravel Fondo)

Upon registering and starting your first ABA Sanctioned race not hosted by ERTC (There is no requirement to finish) you will receive a free ERTC Rogelli Jersey.

As part of the ERTC Race Team you will enjoy at any race ERTC attends:

  • Use of the team tent and staging area

  • Access to ride-sharing and other logistical considerations

  • Use of any shared team resources (such as, but not limited to: a full suite of tools, mechanic support, feed zone support, neutral wheels, aerodynamic equipment) when available

  • A team of fun, supportive and competitive people to race with!

Please note that you will have to PURCHASE your jersey (and wear it to your first race, as per ABA Regulations) and once we confirm that you started your race, you will receive your refund. This can be any ABA sanctioned race. There is a limit on how many entries per season we can take, but if you are seeing this, the registration is still open!!
