Hey everyone! We usually slow down in updates around this time of the year but with the Velodrome and our winter offerings, we’re gonna keep this up!

I wanted to thank everyone who came out to the AGM - it is always great to see faces outside of spandex and helmets, and we hope you enjoyed the food and drink we had for you!

The Alberta Velodrome Association (AVA) has invited us to an appreciation/holiday party on December 21st, from 11:30 till the evening. If you have your certifications, show up, ride on the track, maybe do some racing, hang out, have some food, and there may be some beverages… RSVP here: https://activitymessenger.com/p/bmjJeEn - note that it's $10 but that is a steal for track time, beer/wine, and food! I am checking in with the Velodrome to see if non-certified people can come hang out as well.

Club Updates: 

  • Thanks to Adrian Richards for putting together a strength program for us! There are 3 commitment levels and you can review them here: https://www.ertc.org/winter-strength-training 

  • Adrian is available in person every Wednesday at the velodrome gym to help you out with any questions you have, or tailor these “stock” plans into something more suited to you, and to check on your form and making sure you aren’t injuring yourself, or just general questions on how to do the exercises. More info is on strava for our gym nights. 

  • The new Jakroo webstore is in progress - we will be throwing the links up once that is all ready!
