It’s that time of year again - LET’S RIDE BIKES!

The 2023 Women of ERTC season is (hopefully) off to an early start. All signs are pointing to starting up next week (April 17th), weather permitting, and will continue through until the end of September. Here are some key things you need to know about our season:

  • We ride weekly on Monday evenings, and vary our rides between 5 or 6 regular routes. Everything you need to know about our rides is here.

  • Our first 2023 ride will be Monday April 17, 2023, meeting in the FreshCo parking lot of the Millbourne Mall. Meet at 6pm for intros, rolling out to ride at 6:15pm. Very casual pace for our first ride, and approximately 35km (or shorter depending on riders).

    • The route is half city riding (on Millwoods Road) and half country roads. We will repeat this route the next week to offer familiarity for newer riders.

    • If you have never group ridden before, we recommend taking the ERTC Rider Development course that starts April 25th first before joining group rides. More on this course option coming soon.

  • All our WoERTC ride information is confirmed weekly on Slack. Join the ERTC Slack here, and then direct message Tiffany Baker to be added to the WoERTC channel.

  • Are you a previous WoERTC rider (and currently an ERTC member)? We would love to have you out on our first few rides to support those new to riding.

  • Looking for leads and sweeps.

    • If you are a confident rider and have previous ride leading experience, we would love to have you help lead our WoERTC rides, even if just a few rides a season.

    • If you’re comfortable group riding and keeping things organized, we would love to have you help sweep our WoERTC rides. Sweeps ride at the back and help keep the group together and ensure the ride leader is aware of any issues.

    • Interested? Email Tiffany Baker

Cross your fingers that the usual freak April snow-storm takes a holiday this year - so we can start riding bikes soon! Looking forward to riding with you all.
