President - Currently Albert Nguyen, Elected for 2 years in 2016. (Elected on Even Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Make financial decisions and provide financial direction for the club

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide mentorship and guidance
•    Advocate for the club at cycling and interclub events (including races and ABA events)
•    Mediate any club social issues and concerns
•    Provide support to club executive
•    If any executive member is unable to meet their responsibilities you may need to delegate or complete those accountabilities yourself

Vice President - Currently Greg Nicholson, Elected for 1 year in 2016. (Elected on Odd Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Act as President with full authority when the President is not available
•    Work with the President in all club matters, with the ultimate authority residing with the President

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide mentorship and guidance
•    Advocate for the club at cycling and interclub events (including races and ABA events)
•    Mediate any club social issues and concerns should the President not be available
•    Provide support to the Executive
•    Assist the President in filling in for any Executive member who are unable to meet their position requirements

Secretary / Communications Manager - Currently Rich Cairney, Elected for 2 years in 2015. (Elected on Odd Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Document all Executive meetings
•    Organize and write any intra/inter club communications
•    Write all letters or communication to external parties. Ex. Potential sponsors
•    Ensure that the club’s brand is represented in all communication by maintaining consistency and professionalism in all written communication

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide input as part of the club Executive to the general workings of the club

Treasurer - Currently James Carver, Elected for 2 years in 2016. (Elected on Even Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Document all monetary transactions
•    Provide periodic reports on financial well-being of club
•    Facilitate all monetary transactions (writing / depositing cheques)

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide input as part of the club Executive to the general workings of the club

Clothing Manager - Currently Greg Nicholson, acting until End of 2016. (Elected on Even Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Organize and place club clothing orders with the clothing distributer – at least 2 per year
•    Manage the online account for club orders
•    Maintain accurate inventory tracking
•    Distribute clothing throughout the year
•    Make decisions regarding clothing pricing and discounts in consultation with the President when appropriate

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide input as part of the club Executive to the general workings of the club

Web Master / Marketing Manager - Currently Greg Nicholson - Elected for 2 years in 2015. (Elected on Odd Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Web Master
o    Update the club website as needed with input from Executive. Choose web host, site design, etc.
o    Work with the Executive and other club members to ensure that all club events and ride information is updated and correct.
•    Marketing
o    Source potential sponsors and provide proposals to the Executive for discussion/decision
o    Act as the club liason between our sponsors (general or event specific) and our club
o    Work with the Communications Exec to ensure that our club is marketed the best way possible

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide input as part of the club Executive to the general workings of the club.


Women’s Cycling Manager - Currently Tiffany Baker, Elected for 2 years in 2015. (Elected on Odd Years)

Main Accountability:
•    Further the involvement of women in cycling. This could be accomplished by:
o    Organizing a women’s only weekly club ride
o    Organize female support on all general club rides
o    Market the Women of ERTC group within the club and externally
o    Organize club supported interclub women’s rides
o    Organize women’s skill-building rides
o    Any other action that furthers women’s cycling

Additional Responsibilities:
•    Provide input as part of the club Executive to the general workings of the club

Accountabilities of all Club Executive Members:
•    Attend all Executive Meetings
•    Ensure appropriate communication regarding your area of responsibility to the club President and Executive as appropriate
•    All terms will be for 2 years unless voted otherwise by the club


 

Race Committee Manager - Tim Bulger (Non-Executive Position)

Main Accountability:
•    Lead the organization of any ERTC sponsored races
o    This requires an ABA Organizer license which we will assist you in obtaining if you do not have one
•    Lead the organization of volunteers to assist you in the race organization.
o    You may wish to select individuals to organize specific races while you act in more of a consult/over-sight role
•    Regardless of how each race is organized, ultimate accountability for the event’s success lies with this position
•    Work with the ABA to satisfy all requirements of a host team
•    Work with the club Executive to develop a club race hosting strategy. Evaluate our current races and propose new ideas or changes to our current races.

Event Coordinators - James Gray and Christine Henderson (Non-Executive Position)

Main Accountability:
•    Organize social events for the ERTC
o    This includes setting dates, finding venues and catering, and managing the budget
•    Organizing required volunteers for non-race events (bike shows, casinos, social events, etc.)
