What is the Great Canadian Sports Club ?
The Great Canadian Sports Club (GCSC) is a multi-sport club based in Edmonton that
provides economical access to personalized coaching, group training, and technical instruction for endurance athletes from
beginner to elite level.
What programs does the GCSC offer ?
Skiing
GCSC members enjoy organized group cross country ski training sessions
for both skating and classical technique. Corey provides members with weekly
ski technique sessions for beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers.
Corey also organizes the "Wednesday night ski race series" for club members only.
Running
Corey specializes in coaching endurance runners throughout the year. Corey provides
his coached runners with detailed training programs, including specific track
interval training sessions. All runners, from beginner to elite level, can
benefit from coaching.
Cycling
Corey provides cyclists with access to group training, detailed training programs,
race strategy advice, and much more. There are so many variables involved with
cycling that a coach can make the difference between finishing first or last.
Corey coaches all levels of cyclists.
Roller Skiing
During September and October, GCSC members simulate cross country skiing using rollerblades and poles
to prepare for the coming ski season. Corey organizes group roller ski sessions
and provides roller ski technique advice to get you balanced and strong so you are
ready to go when the snow arrives.

Mountain bikers
The trail to success is covered with asphalt and snow. Road riding lets you get both
intensity and endurance without pounding your body.
Cross country skiing keeps you in top shape through the winter.
The best riders know the value of road and ski miles.
Triathletes
You spend most of your time on the bike; spend it wisely. Having a coach monitor
your progress means you get the most out of your training. Cross country skiing
through the winter will put you ahead of your competitors from the first triathlon.
Fitness Enthusiasts
Participate in a well organized running, skiing, rollerblading and cycling program where you can go as easy or
as hard as you want. The GCSC takes pride in being able to accomodate
any level of exercise minded people. No one gets left behind.
Runners
Take a load off your joints by skiing with the GCSC through the winter.
Recover from or avoid injuries while staying active and working a similar
set of muscles. Group skiing is an enjoyable
social way of getting excercise while going fast.
Cross-Country Skiers
Stay active in the summer and build more endurance through an organized
training schedule which is fun to participate in. Our best ski
athletes cross train with running and cycling during the summer.
Speed Skaters
Keep your legs and lungs working in the summer with a combination of
running, cycling, and rollerblading and
